happened to chance upon this site by accident, following Straightjacket Fits google results. Anyway, great to read of another who enjoyed Mongolia. I spent a month working there in 2000, and caught the Trans Siberian back from UB to Beijing, on the way back to Australia. 36 hrs was enough for me!

I’m doing the Trans-Sib in October and came across your site by chance. I really loved the travelougue - I thought it was excellent. It certainly sent a tingle down my spine reading it.

Great photos as well.

I thought it was really great meeting the lass who’d studied in Leeds. That’s right next door to where i live!

I could almost smell the toilets here in the UK!

I was in Mongolia for a month two years ago. Whilst we didn’t get to use the railway, the experience was one of the most enduring I’m likely to lucky enough to remember. Thanks for sharing yours!

You mentioned in your blog that you saw a Frederick’s of Hollywood in Moscow at Gums Dept store. Did you happen to take a picture of it? If so, we would appreciate it if you could email a copy to us (and the address or any other info you have).
