Having fun playing with little animations?! He he he. I have spiders in my hair too, still a Cure devotee in my thirties but I freaked the hell out after interviewing 16 year-old fans in California: one explained that she discovered the Cure by accident, because her dad had their records in his closet and that she wanted to get “closer to her dad and understand what was going on in his head”. The sweetie pie’s dad is the same age as Robert. All these kids were like: “Yeah, the guys from the Cure are super old but they’re still really good.” The mummy returns! Good for the Cure, I guess: they have this new generation of U.S. fans who think that Disintegration is their oldest album and worship the new CD and everything they do. They even raved about their concert at the Coachella festival in the desert that, in my opinion, was a total disgrace (lazyness or exhaustion + bad sound mix.) But nine months before, they did a heavenly show not far from there, also in the desert, and the thought of it stil makes me happy.
Some California kids also say that the Cure helps them get laid: they play “love song” when they invite girls to come up to their rooms. In case, anyone who reads French and happens to be interested in this new Cure/ Los Angeles generation phenomenon can check this story there. God, do I feel depressed talking about the Cure.
Dude, the Cure rocks. I listened to the Cure back in the day when it was uncool to listen to them, even in my hometown. I’m 28 now and started listening to Robert Smith when I was 14. No, I don’t want a medal or anything, nor do I think I’m super cool or anything; it’s just that the Cure has actually been a big part of my life for many years. When you spot or find out somebody likes the Cure, you know for sure they’re decent people to hang out with. Personally, I think “Mixed up” and “Standing on a Beach” were their best. It’s subjective though.

OMG. That is beautiful. I wonder if it’s embarrassing to admit that I was a Cure freak as a teenager?
